Pastor Wendell & Robin Maynard

Wendell L. Maynard and his wife Robin have served as the lead pastors of Firstborn Ministries in Rockford (Loves Park), Illinois since 1984. Robin is a registered nurse and currently serves at Firstborn Christian Academy where she has held various positions ranging from Principal to Supervisor for the past nine years. Wendell has been an ordained minister for the past 23 years and is currently serving as the Presbyter, overseeing and assisting 15 churches in the Northern Illinois area. Wendell's love for people, his passion for preaching and teaching from the Bible, his transparency about life, and his humorous antidotes cause the Word of God to come alive. He also writes adult Sunday school lessons for the Pentecostal Publishing House. This literature is distributed around the world. He has recently published his first book entitled, "Good Stuff Maynard". His goal is to reach out to a world with the compassion and the love of Christ.

Dave & Theresa Frederick

Dave Frederick is an assistant to the pastor. He serves in the Music Department as the Choir Director, and Service Coordinator. Dave and Theresa have been involved in mission work for the past 11 years, in Campus Ministry and with planting churches in Southern Illinois, Alabama, and Georgia.

Anthony & Heather Maynard

Anthony is an assistant to the Pastor. He and wife Heather are the Youth Pastors of Firstborn Ministries and are currently serving as the Youth Presidents for the Northern Illinois area. Together they lead a vibrant group of teens; guiding, teaching, and sometimes just having a fun time. Anthony also travels, preaching and evangelizing, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

James & Debra McKay

James and Debra have been members of Firstborn Ministries for over 27 years. During that time they have served in the following capacities;Youth pastors, Sunday school teachers, Kindergarten schoolteacher, and Assistants to the pastor. Currently Debra serves as the administrative secretary to Pastor Maynard and Children's Ministries Coordinator. James is an assistant to the Pastor and serves as ministry director of "Gate Crashers," an outreach ministry of the church. Preparing souls for eternity with Jesus is his greatest desire.

Randal & Tina Rapier

Randal, an assistant to the Pastor at Firstborn Ministries and assists the Pastor in keeping the vision alive and the local assembly moving in a forward direction. He and his wife Tina teach the College & Career Class, which ministers to young adults 18-25 years old. Tina serves as the Elementary schoolteacher at Firstborn Christian Academy.

Jimmy & Josie Rutherford

Jimmy is a retired minister of the United Pentecostal Church, holds a Master degree in Education, and a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Business Administration, Accounting, and Russian. He has served in the United States military, with combat tours in Viet Nam and left active duty with the rank of Major. Jimmy and Josie have pastored congregations in Germany, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. At Firstborn Ministries, Jimmy serves as the Senior Advisor to the pastor, and oversees the church finances.

Kevin & Pam Seibold

Kevin and Pam have been on staff at Firstborn Ministries since 2004. Kevin is an assistant to the Pastor and serves as Principal for Firstborn Christian Academy. In the past, they have been Senior Pastors, Assistant Pastors, and taught Christian Education at other churches. Their passion is to see people succeed in their walk with Christ. Kevin is also the Secretary of Section 11 United Pentecostal Churches in Northern Illinois. He evangelizes, holds crusades, and speaks outside the local assembly.

Roger & Diana Shrum

Roger serves as an assistant to the Pastor. He is presently involved with "Next Level Ministries," which helps men and women to deal with today's life issues. He has been ministering for over 20 years in many facets of the church and fills the pulpit on many occasions. He and his wife Diana have taught Sunday School children of various age levels, served as Youth Pastors, and participated in dramas. Together they have a great vision of God's purpose and plan for the church.

Paul & Sheri Timmons

Paul and Sheri have been members of this local assembly since 1993. Paul has been a licensed minister since 2000. Paul is an assistant to the Pastor and he is the Children's Pastor and the Maintenance Director. Paul also serves as Chaplain of the Loves Park Fire Department. He attends local children's activities performing as a Gospel Clown named, "Huey".
