Children's Ministries
Our church loves children! We have an exciting Sunday School for all ages where the children can come worship God, learn about the truths in God's Word at their level and have a genuine relationship with Him. On Wednesday evenings during Adult Bible Study, we have Kid's Church for ages 5-11. It's another great way to minister to the children in our community.
 Youth Ministry
The mission of FOUNDATION YOUTH is to help teenagers grow in their personal relationship with Jesus. The hurt, fear, rejection, pain, etc. that young people are faced with today is overwhelming! We're here to listen and pray about any needs that they might have. Bringing their needs to Jesus and watching Him work things out is awesome! We want to help young people change their lives and prepare for eternal life with Christ. Our Impact Team ministers to our youth in a variety of different ways. I would encourage you to come every Sunday and be a part of our youth service. We have a separate service with our own praise and worship teen band. They love to worship! All year long we do a variety of different events and trips. Just a few are all night lock-ins, renting out the Indoor Sports Center, attending Youth Convention (a weekend long event in Springfield, IL), and many more fun and exciting events.

College and Career:

I'm single, raising a child, trying to work, and go to
school! How do I balance it all?"
I'm old enough to make up my own mind, but what about Jesus?
Adulthood has it's own set of issues. Facing adult
decisions and responsibilities can be overwhelming. In
the Young Adult Outreach and Education (Y.E.) group we
come together on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. to find
out what God has to say about what we are facing. We
find instruction, love, and mercy waiting for
us!
Transportation Ministries
Let all who will, come! If the only thing keeping you
from Church is a ride, give us a call!
We have a dedicated transportation team who send buses
and a passenger van throughout the greater Rockford area.
We would love to see you at Church. Don't let a ride
stand in the way!

Pacesetters:
Pacesetters strives to help men and women grow in
Christ. This may be done during a men's
or ladies conference or during a special outing. We
feel that is not only important to learn to be a
better Christian, but also how to be a better friend
to those around us.
We need each other if we are to make it through. God
never designed us to be alone. Come to a pacesetters
event and get to know the other folks at Church. You
may be surprised to find out how much we have in
common!
Music Ministry
Nothing expresses our emotions like music. Have you
ever been touched deep down in your soul by a song?
At Firstborn Ministries, the worship team believes in
heartfelt worship because God has done so much in our
lives!
During a service you may clap and sing as the whole
Church joins in a congregational song. You may find
yourself jumping and shouting along with the adult
choir. You might be sitting and reflecting as a drama
or stick presentation is performed.

Firstborn Christian Academy
Firstborn Christian Academy is an accredited, private, college preparatory school. We provide a high-quality education for Kindergarten through 12th grade, while addressing individual needs and learning styles. We strive to educate the whole student: physically, intellectually, and spiritually, to help them reach their full potential and development of personality, dignity, and character. Firstborn Christian Academy uses the latest in technology and curriculum to give students every available opportunity for success. Our students not only have excellence in education and truth, but a solid academic foundation on which they can build their futures.
Junior Bible Quizzing
Junior Bible Quizzing is for children ages 5 through 11. The primary objective of Bible Quizzing is to teach children the Word of God. However, the program also helps to promote the following positive character traits in children:
Self-discipline
Good study habits
Team player attributes
Positive response to winning/losing
Our Bible quiz season runs from January through May with four tournaments throughout Illinois and the state finals being held in Bloomington. The team meets once a week for practice and by the final tournament will learn 272 verses!
Sooner is better when it comes to training and equipping our children for the challenges of the Christian life. Bible quizzing will instill God's Word in their hearts like no other method. When should you start? The sooner the better!
Home Bible Studies
Firstborn Ministries is strongly committed to teaching the Word of God. We do this not just in a church service, but also in a person's home. The home environment is well suited for a comfortable, casual approach to learning. We offer several different Bible studies. "Into His Marvelous Light" or "A Place Prepared For You" are both one-hour studies. Either of these lessons discuss the importance of what Jesus called being, "born again".
If you are interested in a general overview of the Bible, "Search For Truth", a 10-lesson study, is also available. S.F.T. is an excellent Bible study for anyone who desires a better understanding of the Word of God. "Keys to the Kingdom" is an outstanding two-part lesson dealing with the teachings of the apostles. These men were hand picked by the Lord and were given authority to preach the gospel. Their preaching became the foundation for the church! "Keys to the Kingdom" outlines the events found in the book of Acts, a book that is seldom studied. Please contact us for more information.
